Louisville Offers Atwood

I hope this doesn't turn into a Tyler Ulis deal. I do think Iowa would be a better fit for him and his playing style.

And the rich get richer. They can usually get whoever they go after. Certainly doesn't improve our chances.....

I do believe Fran has many irons in the fire....

Ulis should consider backing out.... This latest problem of Calipari doesn't know how to sub with 5* players sound familiar to Hawk fans? LOL, first round loss here UK comes.

of the NIT, by Robert Morris

That's right, all the more embarrassing to one of the top three programs of all time, Kansas and UCLA in it's Golden Years to a degree.....

Fills my heart with gladness and joy to see the teams loaded with 4 and 5 star players failing Big Time. Might be tricky getting all the massive egos to understand teamwork.....

Of course, Atwood would have to heavily consider a Louisville offer. However, I'm wondering what Louisville's recruiting strategy is here. They've got a returning PF in Montrezl Harrell, who'll be a junior next year and averages 14p/8rbs this year. Then there's Aloy Agau (remember him?- 4*PF in 2013 class from Omaha) and an incoming freshman 4*PF in Jaylen Johnson for 2014. It appears Atwood's opportunities would be limited (and some fans wonder why we're recruiting Dickerson at guard). The only way this makes sense to me is if someone is having off-court trouble- grades maybe?

I agree that Atwood would fit in well at Iowa with his shooting and propensity to get to the ft line.
His rebounding wouldn't hurt either.

Fran would know. He's been 2nd place to Hoiberg 3 out of the 4 times they've played.

Iowa State has more graduates of Iowa high schools attending than ANY OTHER SCHOOL IN THE WORLD. Second place? Iowa. Where did Brad Banks, Chuck Long, Alex Karras (George) and Randy Duncan finish in Heisman voting? Second. Where did we finish in our first round game in the NCAA tourney in 2006? Second. Where did we finish in our NIT championship game last year? Second. We know all too well about finishing second.

Part of being associated with a powerhouse program like Iowa State is knowing when to walk in and spike the ball and make us all feel like crap and when not to. So enjoy your stunning on and off the field successes but there is no need to rub them in at every opportunity. Take a page from Tork - he is an Iowa State fan who cheers for Iowa and he never has anything negative to say about the Hox. Follow him around and learn how to win with class and dignity.

Can we please get the like button added to the mobile apps? I read this last night on my phone and cracked up at the lsat couple sentences.

I had to take time out of my busy schedule to come back and find this post to give the like it deserved!! Frustrating.

I don't follow basketball recruiting much and particular the JC stuff. However, I hear Indian Hills has a lot of talent every year and a lot of D1 coaches are down visiting on a regular basis, but Iowa never shows any interest. Just curious if any of you guys know why that is.
