It wouldn't surprise me. This coaching staff are in on a lot of different guys, but they don't offer everyone. I don't think Atwood or Dickerson ever really got a scholarship offer from the University of Iowa. I'm sure they are great players, but there are a lot of great players out there. I've heard they are probably a package deal. I wonder if Fran is still pursuing Nzei. With this coaching staff interest is a lot different thing from an actual offer.

Thanks for passing on the info. I'm was kind of hoping that Fran would wait til the spring to see what became available with coaches getting fired, others moving on, etc.

I call bs until you can demonstrate some evidence, other than an anonymous source that may or may not exist.
Dickerson is very enthusiastic about self-publicizing his offers, and who has come to see him, and he's made no mention of Creighton, nor has his coach.
Creighton has been to see Atwood -- but no report of an offer.

That being said, the two players were tweeting back and forth last night about it 'being official,' that they wiykd be going to the same school, so maybe they decided on Creighton- it isn't far-fetched. At the same time, you'd think he'd at least wait to see Fran, after publicly begging for the offer for so long.

I was being sarcastic.
If the Iowa basketball staff really wants those guys, I hope they commit to Iowa. I enjoy following the recruiting, but the important things are how thorough the Iowa basketball staff is, and who the guys are that actually commit to Iowa. Its pretty exciting to me how thorough the basketball staff is at pursuing potential recruits. They are going to get their guys.

Creighton is going to have a HUGE drop off for the next 2 seasons as they graduate like 98% of their scoring this season along with the probable Wooden winner. If they decide to go to Omaha from junior college, it's likely because there is going to be immediate starting positions open and that's just not the case at Iowa. Does Iowa really want to add more to that class any way?

Dickerson is a JUCO PG with three years to play, has the reputation of being a bit of a flake, bounced around a lot.
Atwood is a traditional JUCO PF and would be a nice addition.
Definitely a downer , if true. If you don't think Iowa hasimportant holes to fill to be competitive next year, you are kidding yourself. Both Dickerson and Atwood would provide skills and abilities that would make Iowa a much better team this year let alone next year.
