I think most realize no matter how badly fans want a change, KF will be HC at minimum 1-2 more years barring something truly awful next year (like 2012 bad).

Now I am more concerned on "how" Iowa does the coaching change, not if or when, but How they do it. A succession plan with a "coach in waiting " is the best way, but I don't feel confident we have the AD to make it happen, nor does it appear KF runs his program slowly giving someone else control.

In my very humble opinion, Davis must go, (after games like today and Minny: i question Phil as well, but overall i still believe he did pretty decent overall given the LB situation), recruiting needs a boost, and yes, KF needs to transition out, because I don't believe in the administration to make a good hire (s) on short notice.

My, probably deluted, hope and wish is that we can have a couple good years while a transition happens...even though my eyes, ears, and brain tells me there is little evidence that this scenario is likely.

Let me be clear, although i have been a fan and "apologist" for KF, i do believe a change/transition is due. I also firmly believe A quick firing/buyout and subsequent bad hire could set a program like Iowa back a decade, or more.

Just sayin, better have a plan.

I respect what KF has done in the past, appreciate how hes ran the program, and his charity to the community. Its just not working on the field anymore, so I believe the change is prudent. I would like to have the good memories, not the ones over 3 of the last 4 years.

Here's to it all turning around.

We are not getting a transition plan unfortunately unless Brian is the next coach and I don't think that is happening. Another year like this or heaven forbid worse next year and the ICPD are gonna need the riot gear. I think if that happens Iowa will be looking for a new coach and AD, which might be the best scenario for how this needs to play out.

Take care my friend, something has to be done and put in motion sooner than later, or we will still be in another 5, or even 10 year rebuild plan...It took us awhile to get here, and will take some time to climb out of, as apparently there are still those who are content with the status quo and of course other over-looming obstacles. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but it sometimes can get destructive and warped to hear them spelled out ad nauseam. I hope that the AD and "big boosters" can formulate a plan, but I hope that it can get implemented well before the contract runs out. I think I too am checking away for awhile until something major goes down anyways, like a major transfer or coaching changes. Good luck to ya, see ya in the Fall.

Take care Bud. I think we are at the point where even a very good HC would have to rebuild.

The entire mess needs to be rebuilt from the top down.

Yip. Start will Sally Mason. Let her replacement hire a new AD, then let the new AD hire a new Head coach.

The entire climate in IC is out of date, and is even more apethetic than the fan base is. Get rid of the REAL FAT CATS......Mason, Barta, and Ferentz. FAT CATS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM. It is comical to me that KF could use that line about a bunch of scholarship football players, but cling life and death to a status quo of a failing and dying institution and athletic department to keep him insulated from the "mean" and "unrealistic" fan expectation set upon him....

Burn it all to the ground from Mason to Barta to Ferentz.
