looking at the recruiting data base

the picking are getting pretty well picked over. most of the top prospects are committed elsewhere.
at DB or LB's.
but they did get Daniels to flip from BC. maybe Spearman a Illinois's recruit will flip, oh wait Iowa fans are crying foul over Hill flipping to Michigan and Kenney flipping to Indiana.
but wait that's ok if a kid flips to Iowa but not a Iowa commit flipping to another school.

WUT?

Thank you for this groundbreaking information, Herbster. I'm curious as to what the average weight and height of each 4-star recruit left is.

U MAD????

the point is Iowa may have to settle for a couple 2* recruits to fill the remaining spots,
this is anotherr example of how Iowa recruiting is changing, Iowa had 16 commits by the middle of july, rather than just a handful and finishing the rest with what was left over

So we are replacing decommiting 4 stars with left over 2 stars.. that makes me feel better

its that time in the recruiting year where you get the leftovers
this what happened in the past all to often. but on the flip side Iowas also get the kids that did great their senior years, the late bloomers people call them,
who knows Jewel the Iowa kid that was just named 3A Player of the Year.
as for 3* players, Roh out of Arizona is supposed to be choosing between Iowa and Boise ST
3* Veii is looking at Iowa. its not as bad as it appears, having a full class or 3* recruits is far better than a class of 2* recruits, so what if we lost one 4* recruit by all sites in Kenney and 1 4* recruit by 2 sites. we still have a solid class

What is our class ranked right now?

by rivasl.Iowa is ranked 51st with 16 commits
ISU has 25 commits and is ranked 41st
in this case ISU's 9 nextra recruits is rated 10 spots higher
and they have 1 4* and 14 3*'s and 10 2* recruits
the lone 4* is Campos

51st ranked class.. I rest my case

also some of Iowa recruits may get upgraded to 4* status, like Daniels, OL Welsh, DB Warfield and Wisnieski
as he is already a 4* by ESPN,
with following rated 5.7 3* just below a 5.8 4*
OL Goeble
DB Rucker
again this is not a weask class, and until someone can tell me the diference between a 5.7 and a 5.8 player is or if you use ESPN there are 3 79 3* recruits in Kenny, Goebel and Welsh just below a grade 80 4*
also Iowa has 1125 points and ISU has 1260 points because of those 9 extra recruits

51st ranked class.. I rest my case
your case is very weak, Iowa has just 16 commits, and you do get points for each recruit
and T A&M just picked up their 34th commit,
and 1 recruit could move Iowa up to 46th or higher depending on how they are ranked.
lets wait til this class has signed and the final gradings are done before passing judgement

Herb, We have 4 star players, 3 star players and you want us to go get some 2 star players. Make no mistake however sir, you are a brown star poster.
