Long time Ferentz supporter here.

Why would you fire me? Bilema isn't going to do any better.

I don't want to fire you. I want you to do the honorable thing and fake a heart condition like Urban Meyer. Hand the team over to your son for a season for us to see if he actually has the goods. If he falls flat on his face settle your buyout for half price and resign before your legacy is completely tarnished and soiled.

F**k no don't hand the keys over to his son. Seriously? He can't even come up with a gameplan to move the ball against a bad Purdue team.

It's a package deal if Kirk resigns Brian will go with him. Kirk will not restructure and demote his son. How long will Kirk stick around? How long would you work for what he's making?

Well that is not actually proven yet. Are you crediting Kirk with the masterful play calling of the Iowa St and OSU games? Either way Ferentz isn't leaving without giving his son a shot. So 1 make it or break it season is really the best possible scenario.

I guarantee Kirk will sacrifice that salary for a chance at his kids success. In fact, in alot of ways he already has.

I'm not sure what's crazier. How whenever Kirk needs something to go well, be it a game or a season, he always pulls it out. Or how whenever he has a chance to build on momentum, he always pisses it down his legs. The odds of either happening every single time is extremely unlikely. The odds of both happening every single time is astronomical.

Agree, Kirk gambled on his son. I don't know why he basically expressed him to the top spot unless he wants to call it quits soon. It would have made more sense to move Brian to multiple position groups to get the macro experience of coaching than jumping the rungs before he was ready. Now that it's done I'm sure Kirk will dig in his heels and go all in.

What's crazy is Kirk has to know his offensive philosophy doesn't put offensive coordinators in the best light. So why put your son in a position where he will be the scapegoat for your beliefs? He should have made him the defensive coordinator so he can make him look better than he is with his kill the clock game plan.

Iwa will win 8 next year. And at least 10 in 2019. IF the bounces go our way (Long FG, QB fumbles). Then he retires. Takes his umpteen millions and because Iowa's base is feeling good about the exciting wins, hand the keys to BF with the majority forgotten about this year.
Remember 2013 to 2015 and then another gawd awful extension?

Kirk feels no shame about a dumpster fire like this...he always has excuses and rationalizations that keep him in denial...thus, stubborn as he is...he will be at Iowa much, much, longer than anyone can imagine. Plus he is entitled and is surrounded by people who don't give him much "truth serum"...including his bosses (assuming he has any)

But we made a bowl! Y’all forget that only a select 70 teams make bowls.

The captain is steering is right to the Casey’s Breakfast Pizza bowl played in Dowling Stadium at 3am on an illegal Mexican feed of the BTN.

BECAUSE IT'S LUCK!!! His style is to ugly it up, hope the other guy gets drunk on being 19 and powerful, and taking advantage of it, all while coaching his team into positions where they absolutely cannot make the same mistakes his wins are predicated upon.

Want to know who's going to win an Iowa game as long as they are both power 5 schools? Flip a coin. Sometimes you get 10 heads in a row.

It's the only explanation for the strange inconsistencies. God I love beating Nebraska, but that performance coupled with Wisconsin and Purdue makes 0 football sense. 21 points in 10 minutes with the 117th offense in the country.
