locker room fight?

One thing for Gordan to decommit, another to make a vague statement about an experience that reflects poorly on our coaching staff.

Are you kidding me? Coach was asked if there was a lockerroom fight after the game, and he said not that he knew of, but there could have been..... Uh.... That means yes.....

Why could there have been? I got a bad feeling about the Minny game.... Take Minny and the points...

It does?

Based on what has happened this year... this is just more icing on the cake. Bad things happen when teams fail to meet expectations... it's why CJF is here.

there was a fight and Adrian was involved until he had to take his helmet off and kneel on the sidelines.

just kidding. lighten up, Francis.

The Gazette is reporting this morning that after witnessing a post OSU game fight in the locker room, Melvin Gordon is decommiting. He is saying his parents want him to stay closer to home. I assume that means he's going to Wisconsin.

Smells like Beliema. Kirk, offer Melvin more money!

Another instance of the worthless Iowa press. A fight occurs in the locker room after a game on Saturday and we just hear about it from a recruit on Wed? And still nobody can come up with any details? Come on guys, do your job!

that's assuming there was a fight. I'm sure we'd all know about it by now if something legit would have happened.

I have a very good friend, who has been a very reliable source, who works in the football office who say NO such thing took place.

well, if there was a fight post game in the lockerroom, in front of recruits, and the head coach doesn't know about it... then there is a problem... if there wasn't, why wouldnt just say no? I would hope he has a better handle on things then that.

Really?! Have you been paying attention? Usually things get out first here, well actually usually on another site and brought over, then Jon gets mad because people are spreading rumors and then he says a comment akin to there being too much smoke and then we get some weak media report three weeks later.

Seriously, our media is useless.

I am assuming you do not know how it works after games at Kinnick. The press is not allowed in the Iowa locker room. They wait in a media room where the players selected by Iowa come in one at a time for interviews. So if this fight did take place, nobody would know about it unless it was leaked by a player, coach or recruit in the locker room when it happened.

Yes I know that. Same thing happens in a lot of places. Then the press work their ***** off to get access to information. Iowa's press takes what KF gives them and then go home and put their feet up. They are not press, they are PR.

Does anybody remember the fight "on the field" between the two ISU d-backs in the Iowa/Iowa St. game this year?
The reason I bring this up is because if you are a coach and your players get into it, the locker room is where you want it to be.
If the fight did happen, it is too bad, as I would have rather seen the players take it out on a Buckeye or two during the game, not on each other after the game.
The only good thing would be if one of our guys was calling out another for maybe not working as hard as he could or playing up to his potential. Maybe one of the "leaders" has seen enough out of an individual or two and wanted everyone to see it. Gut check time for sure now with two games to go and a respectable 9-4 season on the line.
If we see a spirited Iowa team on Saturday, then I think the ladder may be the case.
