First series...a whole lot of runs up the middle. Canzeri does not look especially fast. No big holes opened up.
 






Wiegers is loving him some 2 yard passes. Three and out. #1 is punting...Kid maybe? About a 30 yrd punt. Lands way in front of punt returner. CJ and the offense get the ball back. Move backwards. Left tackle gets burned by Ott. Sack.
 






CJ has a nice 20 yard completion to Vandenburg. Most of the gain is yards after catch. Offense sputters after that. Short Field goal made by Marshall K.
 




Mitchell with a nice run. Looks like a legit back. Good speed and vision. Gets the ball again and reels off another nice run. Next, Wadley gets the ball for a big gain. These guys are running against the #1s. OL opening up some good holes for the #2s.
 


Wiesnewski with a nice short grab at TE. Then CJ wips one down the field, but Vandy can't catch up to it. Punt by Koen. Pretty avg length. Dolph mentions Duzy tore up a knee. Will be out for at least 4 months.

Weigers completes a very short pass to a backup fullback who drills the CB, Malik Rucker, and gets 8 yards after catch. Rucker stays down and is hurt.
 


Jay Scheel crosses the field for a gain of 16. Nice pass by Wiegers. Mitchell and Wadley doing a great job running the ball up the middle and gaining 5 yards a pop. So far, they look like the best backs on the team.

CJ goes deep again to Vandenberg and again Vandenberg can't get separation and cant come down with the pass. CJ sorely misses a real WR threat. The guys he is throwing to are not Big 10 WRs.

CJ Rifles one to Kittle for a 10+ yard gain. Threads the needle on the throw. a LOT of arm. Daniels can't seem to gain more than 1 yard on run plays. Stuffed by Jaleel Johnson. Might be that the 1st team OL is not opening up any holes. But the 2nd team OL is paving the way for Mitchell and Wadley to make big gains every time they touch.
 


CJ gains some decent yards on the scramble. CJ completes a couple dump off passes to Canzeri for decent gains. King on the tackle. Canzeri catches a 3rd pass in a row. Would like to see CJ throw down field a little more than these dump offs to the RB. Maybe no one is open.

4th straight throw to Canzeri. Broken up by Jewel. Koehn drills a 44 yard fg for the 1st team offense going into halftime. Zero big plays thus far.
