I am very happy the hawks won, great game by the defense, however, we still saw what Iowa was. A 1 dimensional team.

I was disappointed with the offensive execution and plan coming off the bye week, and as Griese noticed, throwing the ball 3 yards when you need 7. On the first field goal, 3rd and 7, nobody ran a route past 4 yards, nobody.

The hawks played well enough to win, thanks to the defense, who was put in a tough spot on the first drive and MSU offense who resembles Iowa's to a T.

Vandy did not play well at all, poor execution even when the play call was good and the receiver was open.

You should subscribe to the 24 hour rule. Enjoy the win for 24 hours, then you can be debby downer.

Very happy with the win. Didn't think Iowa would be 2-0 in the B10 at this point. But its hard to get excited even with outstanding effort on defense.

This entire passing game is simply awful. And it starts with the QB. For a 5th year SR, I expect more.

Vandy is bad. I can't deny it. But we were also going against the best defense in the division and the rain didn't help. Everything was pointing to us losing that game, but we didn't. Come back home, beat PSU, and things look a whole hell of a lot better.

MSU's defense is good, but they aren't THAT good. And Vandy didn't look a whole lot different today than he has in any game this season, so I don't think it was the rain, either.

I don't know whether to be happy or sad that a team that lost to CMU has a decent chance at winning the conference right now.

Who in our division is better at defense? MSU did a tremendous job at keeping Weisman at bay until the end. They are the only defense in the division built to bottle up a big back. Throw in the slippery conditions and Weisman had the odds stacked against him. We will do better against other defenses on the ground and that will open up the passing game, like the Minny game.

The conference or the division? No way in hell do they have a decent chance at winning the conference!

Purdue lost to Wiscy who basically looked like **** in the non-con. If, and its a big IF, Iowa goes to Indianapolis neither of those two teams scare me. Also, Denard just injured his wrist.

I wasn't referring to Weisman. MSU's defense is not so good that it holds a good quarterback to 19-36 and 137 yards with a pick. They're good, but Vandy is also bad. That's what I was saying. Vandy's accuracy isn't good, his decision making is inconsistent at best.

And the fact that MSU is the best defense in the division doesn't say much. In case you failed to notice, the Big Ten really sucks this year.

By decent I mean, like, 15% or so. That's a decent chance compared to what the season looked like after CMU. I'm not predicting anything.
Ohio State can't play in the Conference Championship game and everyone else sucks.
