I love it. So happy for these 2 guys. A couple of things. After Jack was picked, the guy on ABC (Steve Levy?) said that Iowa rarely gets guys picked in the 1st round. WTF???

2 top 20 picks. Not bad Phil not bad at all. I liked something I'd read about Campbell. One of their assistants after interviewing him at the combine had said they all looked at each other and was like that's going to be tough to beat. I knew that he'd absolutely blow those GMs and coaches away in meetings. Between that and just how dang athletic and good he is he's a no brainer to be a 1st rd pick. I'm stoked for the guy.
All the haters acting like the 'positional value' isn't there don't understand team building and actual value of a player. You mean to tell me that Chad Greenway wasn't worth being the 17th pick? Viks would take him again there in a heart beat knowing what he gave them. I don't suspect Campbell will do any less.

As a Vikings fan, seeing these guys go to the NFC North infuriates me.

I wish both gents well but hope both of their new teams stadiums burn to the ground.
The Lion's draft, however, is being widely panned. By most accounts, the RB they drafted would have been available at 18 and Campbell likely would have survived to their early second round pick. Meaning they could have gotten both of their guys plus a stud at 11. Mel Kiper hates that stuff.

He's just playing into the anti-Iowa pro-blueblood narrative. Talking heads have no friggin clue as to how much talent Iowa actually has with any given season.
