Deace projects Iowa to lose @ Zona....wouldn't have guessed that. I'm worried about a few games this year, but Arizona would rank 3 or 4. I'm worried a lot more about Michigan than Arizona, to be honest.

Edit: Also, to add to my point, if Arizona beats Iowa in September, I fully expect them to do better than 5-4 in the PAC 10. I can see Arizona maybe beating Iowa, I don't think it will be a lay up at all, but I fully expect Arizona to be AT LEAST a 9-3 and probably a 10-2 type team if they beat Iowa.

Has Deace done this in the past? He has some interesting points of view, and is really pushing for a renewal of Michigan this coming season. Also, with all the hype of our neighbors to the west, Deace isn't buying it. He's buying Hawks though.

How does he have Iowa as the Big 10 champ if they're sitting at 10-2 while OSU is 11-1?

Also, I'm not buying Scott Tolzien - not in any publication, written by anyone, at any time.

Deace projects Iowa to lose to Zona in non conference, lose to to one Big Ten team (other than Ohio State) and have Ohio State's loss be to Iowa....so, essentially, Iowa is 7-1 in conference play and Ohio State is 7-1 in conference play.....In that scenario Iowa wins the tie breaker because they won the heads up contest.

But the overall wouldn't count?

Thanks for posting Jon...Thanks for compiling Steve. One of the reasons I like to listen to you on WHO Steve is that I know you're the only radio personality that knows where to find left-footed African-American placekickers.

Not in determining a conference champion. Iowa was a Big Ten conference co-champ with Ohio State in 2002, even though OSU was 13-0 and Iowa was 11-1. Non conference games don't count toward determining a conference champion.

I believe overall record - either in the past or currently - has been used as a tie breaker to determine which co champ gets a bid to the Rose Bowl, however, heads up results ALWAYS come before any other criteria. Overall record was/is like a 3rd/4th tie breaker.

After what i heard today, his #12 rpediction of NC defense having 3 all americans, will not come true. Sounds like these guys will be lucky to play any games this year.

No. The only thing that counts for a big ten title is your conference record, and who you beat, and who beat you inside the conf. The bcs would take into consideration the overall records. But if iowa wins the conf, they get an auto bid anyway.

If that's the case, Steve and I must be of the same opinion that Wisconsin isn't all they're cracked up to be. That being said, I can see Wisconsin beating OSU in Madison.

Random thoughts:

1. Steelers won't take a runningback with the first pick.
2. Randy Edsel(?) will be the next coach at Michigan....I think that is a great call. Much more impressive than the Kiffin to Tennessee call of 2 years ago.

3. Want Paterno to go peacefully in his sleep, with his family beside him, not on the sidelines....I'm in the minority who rather not see that.

4. Not having the Cyclones in a bowl game......but having them go 6-6.....not even in his top 50 .......interesting.

He has ISU in the Insight bowl going against Michigan St.

Arizona should have won 10 games last year...they really screwed up a few games

They were robbed @ UW. The Huskies won the game on a pick six that hit the ground before the guy "caught" it. But even if that went their way they still would have needed to beat Oregon to get to the Rose Bowl.
