Like Wagner/Fleming, not so high on Ellingson/Baer

I was wrong on Fleming. Wagner's been finishing around the basket and has always been good on the boards so he's been pretty good lately. Brady had a good night on Saturday but I'm only cautiously optimistic as he has had a few good games in the past but has yet to do it consistently. It's hard to remember a time that Baer didn't look like he had potential.

Offensively the two guys that seem out of place on this team are Wagner and Uhl. Wagner looks ok under the basket but it is brick city anything ten feet or further away. Uhl can have his moments when he is in a good streak but a lot of times he looks like he is playing out of control. On that fast break where he got lucky and the ball went in he should have passed it to another player.

I am not giving up on either one of these guys and I think Uhl will be ok if he can learn to play within himself and stay under control. I like Wagner's aggressiveness going to the hoop but at this period in time his outside shot need some work.

Brady is shooting 53.7% from 3 on 41 attempts after 22 games. This meets my definition of consistency.

I need to change my original post. Clearly I was correct about Flemming and wrong about Baer.

Nice bump of a thread. Who'd have thought Baer would be the stud of that 4 some... Although Wagner has been better. But his entire game is within 3 feet of the rim offensively and he can't make a free throw. Brady has been playing well too. Better then I even expected. Did Fleming have to sit out this year? I can't remember if he could play right away or not going to Chattanooga.

You can throw whatever stat you want... I'm not buying.

In his last 8 games, 4 of them he didn't score. There's many games he doesn't get shot attempts. As I said in another thread, I've never doubted his ability to make shots, but he hasn't been consistent in the ability to get open/create shots.

Oh no, don't tell me.........you hate Brady Ellingson, too?

I like him a lot this year, he is a really good shooter and needs to shoot more. His defense is either worst or second worst on the team though but his role is to just make 3's

Agreed. He still isn't consistent in his ability to get open and he's never really been able to create his own shot off the bounce.

We get it, you don't think highly of Bohannon. Why do you feel the need to post about him 10x on a daily basis? That's a troll move. It's a move you'll see at CF; all they do is talk about Iowa.
If you're not a troll then move on. We've heard your opinion on Bohannon many times over.

I didn't even mention Bohannon

Seriously, we're just going to ignore 53.7% from 3 like anybody can do it? I'm not saying he's going to score 17 every night. I'm saying he's going to make a high percentage of his 3's when he shoots them. And I wouldn't be surprised if Fran starts running a couple plays a game to get him open. It's hard to ignore that percentage.

'His defense is either worst or second worst on the team though...' We all know who you you're talking about. I guess I could quote any of the numerous posts you've mentioned him by name today alone but I chose the subliminal one. We get it. Just stop.

Would anyone disagree Ellingson is either the worst defender or second worst defender on the team?

You're missing the point. You're a broken record. Why you feel the need to tear him down multiple times a day, every day, I have no idea. Similarly, I have no idea why Cyclone fans obsess over Iowa every day more than their own team. I'm sure there's a correlation though.

I didn't even say anything about him in this thread. I was talking positively about Ellingson. Looks like you might be the first person I ignore on here

Who's to say Fran hasn't run plays for him earlier in the year. Fran has always praised his ability to shoot the lights out so why wouldn't he run plays to get him shots.

Against Ohio State at least a couple of his 3s were from offensive rebounds which lead to open looks which is gteat but not something you can count on every game.

I'm with 5656 in that the value he brings is a 3 point shooter and not much else and for me personally he's not consistently scoring because there's too many games he's held scoreless and only attempts a shot or two.
