Lickliter: Thursday meeting led to Tucker’s transfer

If Tucker was a team guy he would have stayed on the rest of the year. I'm sure it sucks sitting on the bench but he did that to himself. Two free years of education and not one game played in the big 10 conference. I hope Lick doesn't type up a letter for Tucker like he did with Jake, Lick owes the kid nothing.

Just seems like Tucker still didn't get it. He wanted everything to happen on his terms and not what Lick wanted.

Best of luck in the future to him.

“Anthony did not give me a particular reason, whatever it was, just the fact that it hasn’t worked the way that he had hoped and he would like to explore a new opportunity,” Lickliter said. “That I respect, and we granted his release.”

Unconditional with the condition he stays silent.

This misconception seems to stick. He played at least 4 Big Ten games last year.

True, but the PU game was the only one he saw really any time in. The other 3 he barely played in.

But your point is well made, I forget about those games too.

It's probably a win, win for everyone. Tucker was never going to be able to dodge his reputation at Iowa. Let him go and find somewhere that he can start over at and not have to carry the burdens of past screw ups. It gives Iowa the opportunity to recruit either in this years class of next years class, a player that hopefully isn't such a liability and can contribute at a greater level.
