Pick 3 and they have to be a double digit seed. Who do you have as being the most likely double digit seed to reach the sweet 16 or beyond? I know a few of these teams wouldn't be considered Cinderellas to some because they are power conference schools but they are double digit seeds and that's my required criteria.
10. Indiana - I can see them beating another undersized team in Wichita State. Then they would meet Kansas.
10. Ohio State - VCU is without arguably their best player so I think they should win this game. Then they would meet Arizona.
10. Georgia - I can't see them getting by Izzo and his bunch.
10. Davidson - Trying to stay objective, I don't think they will be able to shoot well enough over Iowa's length.
11. Texas - One of the more talented teams around, if they finally put it all together I think they could potentially make a run to the elite 8.
11. BYU/Ole Miss - I don't like Ole Miss but I think BYU's offense could carry them to a potential sweet 16.
11. Boise State/Dayton - I like Providence's guards too much to pick either one of them.
11. UCLA - Don't like them one bit but they have talent and could potentially surprise. I'm not sure I can see them getting by both SMU and ISU.
12. Buffalo - The bulls seem to be a popular 5/12 upset pick with WV having injury issues. I don't see them getting by Maryland's backcourt.
12. Wofford - They like to slow it down and that could be a problem for Arkansas. I think Portis will be too much for them to handle though.
12. Wyoming - They play at a similar tempo as UNI and are a bit more battle tested. I don't see either team getting by Louisville's defense.
12. S.F. Austin - Another popular 5/12 upset pick and rightfully so. SF Austin plays up tempo and shares the ball extremely well leading the nation in assists per game. I don't have them getting by Utah's guards though.
13. Valparaiso - I like Maryland's guards too much to pick them.
13. Harvard - Not even close to as good as last year's team, I think UNC will handle them easily.
13. UC Irvine - Have the twin towers but I don't see them sneaking up on a Rick Pitino coached team.
13. Eastern Washington - The potential is there since they drew yearly choke Georgetown but I don't see them getting by Utah/SF Austin.
14. Northeastern - Notre Dame and Butler/Texas are just too talented for them to reach the 16.
14. Georgia State - Led by a backcourt of chuckers. Barring them getting really hot, I can't see them beating Baylor.
14. Albany - Anything can happen the first weekend but I will be shocked if they somehow beat Oklahoma and Providence.
14. UAB - Again, anything can happen but I'd be shocked if they somehow beat a refocused ISU.
15. New Mexico State - No way they win 2
15. Texas Southern - No way they win 2
15. Belmont - No way they win 2
15. North Dakota State - No way they win 2
16. Hampton/Manhattan - 1 and done.
16. Coastal Carolina - No chance.
16. Lafayette - No chance.
16. North Florida/Robert Morris - 1 and done.
Granted crazy things can happen the first weekend, my three teams most likely to make the sweet 16 are Texas, BYU, and SF Austin.
