NCAA is keen on using their NET rankings. The Hawkeyes are currently #29. I believe that the loss to Nebraska is weighed too heavily. I just don't see us winning out as Big Ten tournament champs. Hope I am wrong, but JW would need to come out of his mini-slump big time.
Most likely scenario is we beat Purdue and lose at Illinois giving us a single bye. If we win one B1G tourney game, we will be a 6-seed, two wins and we are a 5-seed - which is exactly where we are in most Bracket predictions. Even if we lose out, I still think we will be a 8-9 seed. Sure hope we don't lose out, but who would have thought after IA lost so many players and that loss to DePaul, that we would be a lock for the NCAA?
