This was just an all around pathetic performance. The offense failed to execute, the defense gave up a TD in the clutch again. There really isn't anything good that can be said about this game.
It's time we all accept it: this team was overrated from the start. It's solid, but it's far from great.

this might sum it up. We had the pieces and just didn't get it done. I think what hurts us all the most is that if we can't do it with this squad, will we ever?

Iowa's D is great against the run and less than average against the pass.
As long as the other's O is run first, Iowa's D usually dominates - like against Michigan State, Stanford, or Nebraska, for example. When the other's O is pass or one-on-one, Iowa's D stumbles - like against Missouri, Oklahoma State, or Boise State, for example.
IMO there's a need to change defensive schemes so Iowa's pass defense can be more successful.

I don't believe this team is overrated. I think this falls on the coaches. They just got out-coached by a wide margin.
Our offense should have put up 30 on that defense. We win.
Persa played incredible. He made plays no other QB in the Big Ten makes. Pryor isn't that accurate, nor does he make that good of decisions with the football.
You can't waste a half of football and expect to win every time.

The ungodly number of missed tackles and dropped passes scream execution, not coaching. We did get outcoached, but that wasn't the only thing that led to the loss. That's been the story for much of the year.
