Let's face it, the Big 12 is better than the B1G

One of the Big Ten's top tier teams lays an egg at MSG and gets their butts kicked by an unranked Hoyas team that is a bottom feeder in the Big East, a newly realigned and depleted conference that has only 2 or 3 decent teams. WTF?

Well, there is some truth to the saying that the sun shines on a dog's *** every now and then.

When I think of G'town I think of mentally and physically tough BB; the inventors of thugball. With a depleted inside presence for MSU I expected G'town to win. I'm surprised it was only by 4.

Georgetown had lost 5 straight and is the kenpom #71 team... I am pretty surprised by a neutral site loss.

They are better this year, but who cares? Big 10 is good and Iowa is good. If you get your jollies over the best conference then I feel sorry for you.

12 has likely 6 tourney teams and one contender, ku, and 10 has likely 6 tourney teams and one contender (healthy) MSU. Everybody after can win games, maybe minus tcu.

All this "my conference is better than your conference" crap was started by pathetic clone football fans who had nothing else to crow about. Who gives a sh1t about your conference?

We'll know which conference is better in March. I like to use overall win percentage in the NCAA Tournament.

False. It was started by fans of second tier SEC teams to chant at football games when they are playing against other conferences. Say what you will about clown fan, but imagine being a Mississippi State fan. Or a Kentucky football fan.

I considered that point, but thought mine would get more of a response from BryceC.

So Northwestern State was better than Iowa in 2006? The tourney has a huge luck factor baked in, along with a ton of variability in who you play.

I agree, it's dumb, just like all the big 10/big 12 basketball stuff that happened on this board last year.

Didn't MSU kick the crap out of Texas who kicked the crap out of KU today???? The best team in the Big 12 no less???

OK State lost to a bubble team/Baylor....Kansas got worked against Texas. If they were so dominant then how are they losing?

The B1G doesn't have any teams as putrid as Texas Tech and TCU. The only two that would come close are Penn State and Nebraska, and Penn State just won in Columbus.

Top to bottom, the B1G is a better league.

Because some times it just isn't your day? Texas has turned out to be pretty salty, and winning on the road is tough everywhere. Kansas is still going to run away with the league, and probably be a #1 seed.
