That was a pathetic way to lose a home game to a directional school. Fundamental errors snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. It's going to be a long and ugly conference season.

Kirk has run a pretty good program - he's just not a great coach. Its been said so many times that he has been successful inspite of himself.
 




We suck. This isn't fun at all. But....what can you do really. I can post angry word onto a message board but it doesn't change much. This program is not at a good place right now.
 






Ferentz is making it easy for Iowa to switch to more of a basketball college...at least fran's team should be fun to watch. Weisman is a beast though.

+1 Nice and classy man. good representative of the university but this is D1 college football. The only thing that (should) provide job security is winning.

Missouri took our place in this cycle. At one point Iowa was Top Ten in victories over a 5 year span. Now....Missouri has the 9th most wins in the last 5 years.

Iowa is yesterday's news.
 


At this point (and it could change) this program isn't mediocre anymore. It's just bad. You can't lose to Central Michigan, you just can't. They probably aren't getting a winning season and it's hard to say how many B1G wins they get, 1 or 2 probably, and this conference isn't even good. This sucks, it really does.

I hope it's just because recruiting sucked for a couple of year and we'll be good again because this isn't fun at all.
 




The good news: I might be able to get the whole family into Kinnick this year super cheap.

The bad news: It will be hard to get proper fitting paper bags for my kids heads.
 


The thing that gets me is how KF's teams used to be amoung the best in the country in terms of being well-versed in the fundamentals of the game but now they make fundamental errors.
 






I am absolutely flabergasted on how Iowa could lose to Central Michigan. ????? Coaching, coaching coaching....lack there of. 3 million dollars a year. Many more millions to build a national level program to lose to a team that is one step past a jr college? Time to get out the paper bags. Time to turn our Hawk shirts inside out so no one knows we're fans.
