KU's stadium is terrible. The stands are ridiculously far from the field.

I suppose they still have the running track around the football field making the stands be a ways back from the field. They did have a hell of a track program and miler there over the years.

Yep, definitely a "track school". Interestingly enough, guess who started their track program? James Naismith.

Ohio State's stadium had similar design problems. They used the best technique, which has been employed in other stadiums with that design. Lower the field and add rows in front of the main grand stands.
