Legend of JVB and Morris

Is there anybody left that still believes these guys are more than solid hard working players? We'd all love it if Morris was the next Greenway and JVB was NFL quality, but a Humpal Chandler comparison is much more in line with reality.

I'd take the 10-3 record, wins over Mich, ISU, Wisky and Florida that Chandler led us too! :D

Vandy's play did surprise me. I was expecting to see a confident performance from him. But the OLine has got to do a better job at pass protection.

Did anyone see tanner Miller get run over every play? He never laid the wood on anyone, always on the receiving end. I hope he brings some power next week.

So much need for instant gratification in today's culture. NIU is pretty good, not great. This win was more about proving we could overcome ourselves. Regardless of the competition, I have doubts we could have done the past couple of years what we accomplished yesterday. That should be cause for optimism in addition to relief. This team has potential for nice growth with the schedule as it is as we adjust to new schemes and youth gets experience. I'm ready for a fun ride.

I agree with Spider. They may not be NFL all pros, but Chandler and Humpal were great, and successful, Hawkeyes. I'll take that.

Again, he wasn't at home though...

This became even more crystal clear when he did his aw shucks I've never been to Chicago before routine at the B1G media day.

Seriously? Does your family drive one of those little buggies and churn butter in a barrel? Sorry, but a like my QB a little less sheltered.

Ferentz called him Opie and he still seems frazzled when he's away from Mayberry.

Wow. Just wow.

Probably better to have one interested in tats and stuff. Maybe drugs?
