Leaving before the HWT's

Unfortunately, this is the typical Carver crowd. I am guessing that the exiting was worse than normal due to the weather, since they announced before the HWT match that it had been snowing during the dual. Anyone that has attended a Basketball game sees this same type of exodus. 4 minutes left in the game, and people begin to head for the top of the Arena.

I love this reaction as well. Cyclone fans pull this same crap. If we are getting pounded in football which isnt an un common thing I will leave and go have fun in the lots or go home if its cold. Its my money and my time I will leave when I choose.

So what is wrong with fans doing that??? lol Hilarious the things I read..

yeah i do. Stay to the end and support your team! I had the privlage of attending the insight bowl. Yeah i wanted to leave in the 4 th quarter but i didnt. I stayed til the end and saw a awesome win.

When things arent going your way you give up? IF Jeva and Mike Kelly both won by dec Iowa wouldave won. Do you understand that? Give credit to a powerhouse PSU. Iowa failed in a lot of ways but never ever throw the towel in. What did Bob Telford do to deserve you walking out on him? A returning all american returning from a an injury needs all the support he can get.

Shame on you for being fair weather fans. Get tough when the tough gets going.

Seriously? You going to use your InsightBowl analogy and your Arizona in December analogy. Hilarious. Let me also remind you that this isn't football we talking about. So many poor, poor comparisons. I would say nice try but that was a huge FAIL.

I did not go to the meet but I was able to dvr it and watch it yesterday morning. As I fast forwarded through most of the last 2 matches I wondered how this team of passive Hawkeyes could possibly be coached by Tom Brands. I half expected to look over at the bench and see Jim Zalesky sitting there.

The million dollar question. We need 9 more guys with Ramos' attitude.

Bow down to me? Thats your response to my opinion?
Whatever man. My address is 321 gophuckyourself Lane. Send that trophy right over
Ultimately i agree with Turkey but in a different way. As I stated before, all of our wrestlers deserve to be watched by their home crowd. Let's call it respect.

People have the right to come and go as they please. I stayed until it was over like I always do regardless of outcome. It is sad but people have that right. The fact is if they started the dual at 141 I bet the entire crowd would have stayed to see the last 2 matches regardless of team score. I always hope potential recruits don't see fans leaving because of the team score. I agree we need to support the entire team and that is what I prefer to do.

What message?

The "we don't give a **** about the upper weight classes if the duel isn't close"?

You're the one who doesn't get it. The meet wasn't close, no. But it also wasn't Iowa wrestling, either. I watched on TV and never seen an Iowa team look so passive on the mat. PSU had the better team and were better at most every weight. I can come to grips with that. But I felt like I could count the number of shots taken by Iowa wrestlers on one hand, outside of the Ramos and St. John matches. That's not Iowa wrestling. PSU isn't THAT much better than Iowa.

I will stay and support a team that's putting out the effort. If they're doing everything they can, and they just aren't good enough, that's one thing. But when 7/10 guys decided to mentally check out and not even bother trying to win, why should the fans put out the effort to support them?

I for one stayed I am asking you if you attended the actual dual or are saying this from the comfort of your own home. The weather was crap and after getting home at 12:45 I was wishing I left early. My guess is the ppl that left early traveled a LONG ways to get there and were worried about their driving. If you were at the dual you'd see that most of the ppl that got up stood at the top of carver and watched it.

LOL
I was there.

I was there and left during 197 cause I couldn't bare to watch anymore of that type of wrestling. Not losing, but hanging on and passively wrestling. I can handle losing but I don't like that type of wrestling and I don't have to watch it if I decide to pack it in. Not worth the frustration. At least I went. Which winer on here is complaining and provided zero support from his easy chair?
