Nice article by Chad on Layla as she prepares for her move to IC.

The article got me to thinking about Alaska. I followed Layla on Instagram and there are some really good pics of Alaska. We can assume she is a real outdoors person from the pics.

Jan has her two next stud post players... Remains to be seen if they can play together all that much. If one of em can stretch the floor a little that would almost be not fair. But even still having 2 stud post players just gives coach options. Between having 10 fouls to give and letting them rest and not have to play too much it's just exactly what Jan wants for how she wants to makeup her team

I think Jan saw two things that elite teams had that gave them trouble. Extreme length inside, and athleticism/speed in the backcourt. There were pretty obvious gaps in those two areas even with the Caitlin teams.

This class coming in is a different caliber. And the Hawks are swimming in some deep waters for next year, too. I think Iowa women's basketball is maybe at its peak awareness level nationwide right now. Jan is going all in to leverage that into next level recruits. Now or never. I don't know if it will work or not, but I love that she is going for it.
