3-1 won't do it. That gives us 3 conference losses and unless that L is to Illinois or Nebraska that puts Minnesota way in front of us. They'd have to lose out. We have to win out and hope for some help from Penn St and Wisconsin or Northwestern v the Goophs.

Iowa has under-performed woefully on offense this year so far. The time is NOW for the switch to be turned. It is GO-time for Nate and Brian. These last four games might be a subtle but clear override of Kirk's rules of limiting the offense. Ignore him, tactfully...make some game changing, season changing plays that get into the END ZONE. Ears back, go for it!

Plus the defense needs to rise with some pick-six plays to jump start the offense, or providing a short field.

But 7-5 is in play...which would, of course be another "great year" where fans are still unhappy.

Yep. Minnesota is driving this bus and they decide where it goes. In a 7 team division, lose more than a game or two and you’re fucked.
 
I will reserve my judgment and on the Minny game until after I see them play a team like PSU (not sure if anyone really knows how good Minny really is). Right now I reluctantly I call the Wisky game a loss but with all things equal Iowa is a better team than Illinois and Nebby.

I call 2-1 on the 3 games without the Minny game.

Hell I don't know, I agonized over this post for too long now. The only thing I know for sure is, Iowa will get rolled at Madison.
The rest are all toss ups and could go either way.

That’s very plausible to me. I could see that scenario.

BF talks daddy into letting him move the O into the 21st century. Gets rid of zone rushing. Goes to hat on hat rushing. This works and all of the sudden the play action passing game comes to life. LaPorta has 6 TD catches in the last 4 games. Goodson averages 125 yards a game rushing. Stanley stays clean and is more relaxed and shows why he is a pro prospect.

Defense flourishes because they are not tired. tosses 2 more shut outs.

Minnesota loses to Wisconsin, PSU and Iowa. We lose a nothing game to Nebraska who is trying to make a bowl. 3 way tie in the West and we have the tiebreaker.
 
I think we lose to Wisconsin and win the other three. Minnesota has played a laughably bad schedule. They haven't played a team with a winning record. Illinois has looked better but we've destroyed them in recent years. Nebraska will have given up by the time our game rolls around.

Yep. We beat Bucky and Gooph then we'd win, having beaten both of the teams we tied with. That said, I can't imagine us winning the next 3 and losing to Nebraska. Let's just win out and take the damn thing.

I think we’ll split the next two and beat both Illinois and Neb. 9-3, head to Holiday and beat Washington to finish 10-3. I’ll take that.
 
3-1. Why not? WI is beatable, but I don't think we get it done there.

Last game is harder than it ought to be, but Nebraska will have bowl eligibility riding on it more than likely.
