Largest Margin of Victory for NW over Iowa... ever

Unacceptable ... at home.

With a new coach even with no talent and being young, one expects to at least compete and look like they know what they are doing on fundamentals at each end. No box outs, unforced turnovers, free throw shooting that is pathetic etc.

Everyone is clamoring for fans to come to Carver, not gonna happen when this is the result.

Advice to Fran, use all your schollies, ASAP. Don't hold them, as you might not have time.

Pathetic. So much different than Lick right?

If someone had said we would score 71 vs NW I would have felt pretty good about our chances knowing how they generally like to play a slower pace but then again I can see how so many teams light us up from 3pt land as the players have nothing to distract them on either end with so many empty seats behind the baskets.

What I can't understand is how nearly every player seems to still be hesitating with the ball on offense. Should I shoot it? Do I try and drive to the bucket? Can I get a feed into the post? Do I reverse it?

It just seems like NW, IL, and Purdue especially had so much better spacing and ball movement with some guys holding the ball less than a second before feeding the post or making a quick skip pass over the zone, etc. while I think nearly every one of our guys hold the ball an avg of 2-3 seconds before making any sort of move unless they are wide open for a jumper.

The lack of being able to identify the opposition's shooters is baffling to me. It happened against Illinois and I'm sure it happened against Purdue (I didn't see the game), but these guys getting wide open looks for 3 consistently is unacceptable. Until that gets fixed there will be many more nights like this.
