Lambert to Rutgers

...and yet Iowa would have had a worse record with their schedule this year. I said right now, but yeah, we are(hopefully) in better shape over the long run.

Having a better record one year does not equate to that school having a better program.

How many wins would you give Rutgers if they were in the B1G and visa versa if Iowa was in the Big East? Rutgers is a second rate program.

I seem to remember Rutgers beating ISU in their bowl game and ISU beating Iowa earlier this year...

If we're being hypothetical, then you have to consider that.

Not sure how you can say Iowa is better than K-state. Being ranked in the top 15 is better than going 7-6 no matter who you are.

You can't really say who is better than who. I just think it is funny that people are so flabbergasted that a kid went to a program that is equal to Iowa at the moment (which is what kids look at) that is a lot closer to home. It makes sense to me.

You say ISU isn't second rate and Rutgers is? Just because of history, well history is just that, history. All that matters to recruits is right now, and right now Rutgers is on par with Iowa.

If KSU is a better football program than Iowa because they had a better record this year, is Houston a better program? How about Southern Miss?

The w/l record is only a part of what makes a football program great.

If you can't open your eyes and realize that Rutgers isn't a joke program anymore, than your ignorant. Its as simple as that.

In recent history, they have 6 winning seasons in 7 tries. 5 bowl victories out of their 7 tries. Finished ranked one season after going 11-2. They have won at least 8 games 5 of the last 6 seasons. Rutgers is a program that IS CURRENTLY on the same level as Iowa.

it is all about match ups and execution so team a losing to team b and team b losing to team c doesnt mean team a would lose to team c.

possible reason for Lambert for not choosing Iowa; he is good friends with Alston, they both play the same position, he may have not wanted to either sit behind or split time with his buddy
this is speculation only but who knows what thoughts go thru kids minds

alston is a mlb where i would project lambert as an olb or de. my guess is he wanted to stay close to home. nothing wrong with that. rutgers has a good one coming in.
