Lambert announcing

I hear he got the royal treatment at the Pinstripe Bowl. It probably doesn't help the ISU laid an egg in that one and made Rutgers look like a good team. It's bad enough to lose a football game to the clones but to have them start messing with our recruiting is going too far. I guess we might have looked a lot better to with a win over Oklahoma.

That just means that Alston is going to announce his transfer to Rutgers at the same press conference. (Totally joking)

Thats what I was thinking, that would be a first. I can see the whole proximity to home thing, but seriously Rutgers over Iowa... They even fill half of their stadium on game days? and Greenway, ANGERER, Hodge, Edds to name afew that now play on sundays choice seems too easy to me.

Kids like Lambert have been in the process of being recruited for two years now. I find it very hard to believe that a recruit lets one Iowa loss in a bowl game or one Rutgers win over a 6-6 Iowa State team in a bowl game be the deciding factor on where he wants to spend the next 4-5 years of his life.

There are much larger picture items that come into play. He'll decide based on those long-term affects. It's his decision and he'll do what he thinks is best for him long-term, not go to the school that simply won their bowl game.

you don't think he has told alston, for example?

I'm sure he's had discussions with Alston, but no I don't think he's told him of his decision yet. If I were Lambert, I'd tell my non-immediate family and friends about and hour before I held my press conference.

Your right. The only thing I said factual was that I heard that he got the royal treatment at the Pinstripe Bowl. The rest was just egging on all the whiners on HN that want to fire the whole team after a bowl loss and who see ISU as the arch nemesis.

I think several of his friends would know. The press conference isn't for his friends and family.

He wanted to do a presser b/c "without his team he wouldn't have got to where he is." He wants his team to be with him while he announces or else he would have done it at the semper fi bowl.
