Lakers Fire Head Coach Brown

Gee, the guy who couldn't manage one superstar couldn't manage 4? What a surprise!

im not a big NBA follower but this seems a bit harsh but someone has to be blamed....good luck to the next coach in line their career will be over if they can't turn it around

Firing a coach five games into the season is a joke. I didn't think Brown was ever going to be a good fit in LA, but to not give him more time with the new roster is ridiculous. You can't bring in two guys like Nash and Dwight that completely change the dynamic of your team and expect them to come together and play well together immediately.

Especially when one of those superstars has been out in all of those five games (Nash). You can't expect Kobe to do it all, and you need a good point guard to set him and Dwight up which they haven't had in those five games. Brown should consider this a blessing as the Lakers will be a joke for the rest of the season.

Bringing in a guy to try to implement the Princeton office into the NBA's Western Conference? Yeah, that never made sense

It's kind of like deciding whether to pull over or not on a long road trip to take a dump after you just made a stop 20 miles ago. Too soon? Maybe, but waiting could be disastrous.

Don't get where you're going with this. It wasn't a good fit for this Lakers team, but Rick Adelman had great success running the Princeton offense with Sacramento in the early 2000's. It's worked before in the Western Conference.

Heard they are interested in Jerry Sloan.

Jerry Sloan? As in the guy who retired because he couldn't deal with Deron Williams' ego? I'm sure he'd do very well with Dwight Howard's ego, which puts Williams' to shame.

In 20 words or less, someone explain to me why I should give a **** about this?

They are still going to stink when Nash is healthy. Kobe and Nash both need the ball in their hands a lot to be effective.

They don't really like the "wait and see" approach, especially with a couple Allstars staring retirement in the face. After going 1-4 with a painfully boring offense, they're doing something about it. It's LA, not Iowa.

He also had the players to execute it, the Lakers don't and it was a bad fit from day one and a head-scratcher hiring to begin with.
