That was great. Got a #46 jersey my freshman year of college in 2000. Been wearing it to games for 14 seasons now. I'm 33 and it's a bit ratty, but it always brings up a Ladell conversation at a tailgate so I stick with it. Man, was it fun to watch him play. Trying to think of another back we've had since with his characteristics. He could make you miss (he HAD to have that skill out of sheer necessity in 1999 and 2000), could catch the ball extremely well, and run someone over. Maybe Jermelle Lewis comes close?

Interesting note that he's in his 2nd year as OC at a high school in South Florida and nobody from Iowa's staff has reached out to him? Granted, maybe it's a small school (i have no idea if it is or isn't), but it's still South Florida, I don't think it would hurt recruiting to at least extend the olive branch.

did you listen to the podcast? he's getting personal letters written to him from ferentz. and from the football program - this comes directly from his mouth......

Yep, that was in regards to Coach Ferentz specifically keeping in touch on a personal level over the years. Later on they specifically asked him about his job and if any of the staff had reached out regarding recruiting, and he said no they had not, he said "they should".
