"Iowa has a good one in commit Kyle Meyer (6-9, 225, Alpharetta, GA Northview). He's very mobile and extremely physical yet he's got nice touch on the ball and moves his feet very well on defense. He's a nice complement to Shaq Goodwin on the Celtics."

Always good to hear stuff like this on recruits. You can tell Fran has done rebuilding jobs in his career. I love this staffs ability to identify under the radar talent. Hopefully soon we can get some above the radar talent as well. Starting to get excited about basketball again.

Thanks for the links. I love reading this kind of stuff about our recruits. I'm surprised they described Meyers as being so physical. The little I've seen of him made him appear a little slender.

The film out there on him is from his U16 AAU season, so he would have just finished his sophomore year of high school. Compare his recruiting photos:

Is his teammate shaq already committed somewhere? I didn't do any research on this but should. If he isn't we should definately try to snag him. If we already have Meyer Shaq may want to come with him. Just a thought.

Ya, I doubt a top 15 prospect from ATL has anyone looking at him. Fran needs to get on the line with him ASAP.

Yep, if Gessel and Woodbury see this year's team play before both or either signs with Iowa, it will not be a good thing. Because it will mean they signed somewhere else.
