Kyle McCann

Chandler did play much of second half against Northwestern. I believe that was the 100% pass completion game between him and Banks. Burmeister was 3-0 in starts against NW and Isu. Hartlieb was injured for the game in 92.

I know, moron. Thus he was 1-0 and had a 1.000 winning percentage against ISU and NU. He didn't lose to either of them, which is more than can be said for Banks, Stanzi, Christensen, Vandenberg, et al. Notice I didn't say "beat both." We all know that is too much to ask of Kurt and he has never beaten them both in the same year (granted, some years, like 2003 and I believe 2004, he didn't play them both).
Going 0-0 against someone does not give you a 1.000 winning percentage against them, it gives you a 0.000 percentage. I cannot rightfully say that I am 1.000 all-time while quarterbacking against the Green Bay Packers, because I've never done it. The guy never played NU, so he does not, by definition, have a 1.000 winning percentage against them, you dumba*s.

As far as McCann not winning games I would have to disagree. From 1998-2000 he tied Reiners for the most wins as a starter. Plus he came in for Reiners and sparked the offense in the second half to beat Central Michigan in 1998. This helped him get some starts as a Freshman that year. He also played two very good games in the upsets of Pedo State and NW in 2000 leading Iowa to thise wins. I should also mention that NW, Minnesota and Indiana had pretty good teams in 2001. McCann started in all those wins and he played great.

That is kind of like how I am tied with Jim Walden with the same amount of wins against Iowa in my career.

Hey moron, let's say you played for Clinton High School. Let's say you beat Lamoni in the one game you played against them. You could say you have a 1.000 winning percentage against Lamoni and the Green Bay Packers. Your record against those two teams would be 1-0. You don't have a loss, that's the key part of the equation, idiot.

McCann improved a great deal from his junior to senior season and was a very efficient QB that last season. I never understood all the hate he received from fans. The main reason why he started over Brad Banks was because Banks did not know all the plays and McCann had a better grasp on the playbook.

Agreed. Everyone projects what a guy like Banks did as a senior and assumes equal production as a junior. These know it all fans also insisted Stanzi should have been the starter in 2007, but he was terrible in 2007.

How effing stupid are you? By that rationale, Jake Christensen is the greatest QB to ever play at Iowa because he is undefeated against the Chicago Bears and the San Francisco 49ers. Hell, might as well throw in the fact that he never lost to Alabama, LSU, or USC while we're at it. You're a R E T A R D.

None of the less he won all the games he played in against those teams playing quarterback and Iowa won both games. The last qb starter would have been Burmeister 3-0.

Anyone who was at the Michigan game where both Banks and McCann played knows with the certainty of death and taxes that Banks gave Le Hokkks the best chance at winning, regardless of whether Banks "knew the playbook."
