Kudos to the fans rockin' Carver!

Reminded me of the games in the early to mid-80s I went to while in college. The energy was amazing.

We were row 40 on the side and probably had some noise blocked by the video boards but rarely even heard the PA system. I thought the system sucked and finally realized the noise down in the bowl was just too loud.

I was driving home from a business trip in Wisconsin. God GOD, it was awesome listening to it on the radio. It must have been really cool being in CHA. Several times, I was getting "football shivers" listening to it.

I never understood how a fan base that's so rabid about football can be so "dead" at basketball games. I think Fran has us back and all of that will change. Go HAWKS!!

I have been going to Iowa BB games since 1964. That was the loudest, most raucous I have ever seen an Iowa home crowd. Incredible

I actually have a little trouble believing this, with all due respect. Loudest, most raucous in Carver, I can buy. But everyone I talk to said Carver at its best doesn't hold a candle to how loud the Field House could get.

This. I even have a hard time believing Carver was louder last night than in the days of Mr. Davis. The Michigan game after Street died is the game that I see brought up most when referring to the loudest Carver crowd.

Last night had 2300-2400 less people in the building than any sold out game at Carver.

Dont get me wrong, it looked to be a great atmosphere and sounded excellent coming through the TV but loudest in Carver history? I doubt it.

With all due respect.

The Michigan game after Chris Street's death cannot be surpassed for noise and raw emotion. There was no way Iowa was losing that day.

That said it was a great crowd last night and is another stepping stone in the rebuilding of the program.

It was very loud in there last night. I'm glad I went. Best game I've been to since the MSU game on V-day in 2006.

The greatness of this crowd wasn't solely about the NIT... it was more about this team and what's to come with these guys. The fans have returned and we showed it last night. The team responded and played great too.

But uh-oh... road game coming up.
