Iowa extended a scholarship offer to Kansas QB Jace Ruder this week. He committed to Tulsa in December. He spoke with HN about the Hawkeye opportunity:

It's not funny, but I laughed.

Even if it's hand-timed, that's plenty fast enough for a 6-3, 205-pound QB.

I see it's been announced he's reopening his recruitment. Several Power 5 programs have recently offered along with Iowa's earlier offer.

I live it tulsa and looked at this kid when he committed. Boy, he seems so much better than tulsa level. this kid's throwing motion really reminds me of a Dan Moreno or Phillip Rivers type of quick release. this kid looks like a legit high level talent to me.

Peyton Mansell 2.0. That's meant as a compliment. This kid could play other positions if qb doesn't work out.

He's picked up offers from Florida State, Georgia and North Carolina recently and will visit those schools in June. The Hawkeyes need to get him on campus. He's a freakish athlete.

Wouldn't a kid with that speed be sort of wasted in a pro style offense? From his perspective anyway. Guess depends on whether he likes to throw and hand off more than taking off running. Would they ask for a switch to WR?
