Krieger-Coble

Why doesn't he get any love? I find it interesting that every time there is a discussion about the TE position, he gets left out of the conversation. Last week he led in receptions (5) & 2nd in receiving yards but Kittle (1 reception for a TD) gets all the attention because of the TD. Henry had the receptions, but I read articles that state the Kittle has been a good alternative to Duzey. Do these guys even watch the games? Pretty nuts...

Good stuff. I, for one, really appreciate what he has done. I am also happy that we are working the tight ends into the mix more than in the past, I think. We need TS back, for sure. But I do like the fact that CJ is spreading he wealth around among a pretty good corps of receivers.

He's a valuable player for this team. He is so dependable that sometimes he just does not get the attention.

No doubt. Not to mention he's been the best blocker of the bunch. I still wonder why they haven't called Hilleyers number more often. I thought he'd have a better senior year. He's pretty tough for those smaller corners to tackle once he has the ball. He was dragging guys quite a ways on a couple of those balls he's caught... Oh well year sure isn't over yet.

my only question is the name. why two names?
I'm guessing the last names of both his parents are listed as his last name... are you jesting? That it's more acceptable than just taking the last name of his father. Is there protocol? Does the father or mother's last name usually go before the hyphen? I know which one usually goes after the hyphen.....

His mom is one of 11 girls and no boys. They wanted to carry their dad's name (Krieger) on. That's my understanding...
That's awesome if true. The guy is a blocking machine and the fact that he is a reliable receiver is just icing on the cake.

It makes more sense if Krieger-Coble's parents were trying to carry on the mother's last name... since the last name is usually the father's and a family with all girls (Coble) won't usually have the family's last name carried?

Or is it something else?

BTW, the Coble family really tried for an adult boy, didn't they? Eleven kids.

You have it backwards. It's the Kreiger's who actually had 10 girls. The story is pretty remarkable. Worth the short read.

Plus score one for my home town Mt. Pleasant. Along with James van Allen, Dana holgorsen and Tom vilsack he's making the iris city proud!
