I was just taking a gander at the B10 standings to try to figure out bowl would take us and I couldn't help but glance at our defensive and offensive production this year:

So our defense was the number 2 scoring defense in the conference this year. But we only managed to score a paltry 205 points in league play (not all of which were scored by the offense), while Illinois, playing virtually the same schedule, managed 286 with a freshman QB after losing a talented junior WR in the second round of the draft last year. Is their o-line that much better than Iowa's? Did the Illini's talent level just skyrocket between last year's 3-9 team and this year's 6-5 team that has a game left to play? Or could it be that Paul Petrino is calling plays out of a playbook that was written this century?
