kok do us all a favor

LOL- some of you folks are clueless. We have a guy rush for 220 yards and the offense moves the ball well nearly the entire game. The only thing that stopped us was poor throws resulting in 2 INTS, comes down to execution. The play calling was fine!

Get a life.

This might go down as the one of the biggest wins for this coaching staff, tons of adversity and criticism. They beat one of the best and most popular coaching staffs in the country, Pinkel could go to any job in the nation. As Jon reported a lot of emotion from the Hawkeye coaches, they know what they accomplished, Congrats and good luck next year!

Kok is both the oc AND the qb coach. Everyone that watches just one game of iowa football could preict the play calls. Our O scored 3 pts in the 2nd half and if it wasn't for our D we would have lost the game.

Was it just me but when we had 4th and inches they should KOK and it looked like he kinda wanted to go for it like the rest of us? Just the impression I got from his facial expression......

I think he, like many of us, was wondering why they didn't measure it. I have no problems with the decision to punt in that situation.

If you looked carefully, we was assuming the officials would stop for measurement. I think KOK wanted to at least give the call on 4th some thought, but when they didn't measure, he had to make a quick decision...which was the right one, considering they didn't have a lot of time to think about a play.

okay that does make sense. it did look like the nose of the ball was on the edge of the imaginary yellow line so a measurement would have been nice.

Anytime KOK has a month to get ready he is pretty solid...problem is that we don't usually have that long.

People need to relax on the play calling and style. KOK does what he is told. He ran a shotgun spread before he came to Iowa. Norm Parker ran blitzing defenses before he came to Iowa. They do what the head coach wants them to do. Anyone who thinks that it isn't KF making the majority of the overlapping decisions doesn't get it. He runs a pro-style, don't hurt yourself style because that is what he knows. KOK does a pretty good job he probably would do a better job if he was cut loose a little bit to do it his way a little more.
