KMM

1 - He's a genuine good guy and a good possession receiver. It's a shame that this is his last game.

2 - Didn't he need 3 catches to break the record? Because as of now (end of the 3rd) he has 2 catches.

You guys are smoking crack he is lazy, with so-so hands, he takes plays off. He is the most over-rated receiver we have and not in DJKs' class.

Agree with KMM being a quality person. As a football player, I'm not sure if he overachieved or underachieved. It's pretty underwhelming that he's our career leader in receptions and is a product of the Greg Davis 3 yard out philosophy. If he would have caught half the balls he dropped over the last 3 years, he would have been 15 catches ahead going into this game.

KMM being the all-time leading receiver in school history is a 100% indictment of just how far this program has fallen.

The fact that this kid could be a 4 yr. starter at the most game changing position on the field is all you need to know about how much emphasis Kirk puts on recruiting difference makers at this position.

It would be one thing if KMM wasn't a burner and didn't make big plays but had money hands and extended drives with clutch 3rd down catches. He didn't. Made a career at whiffing on easy balls and feasted on useless 4-6 yard catches. The guy couldn't even catch the sideline swing passes we would throw him for some reason even though he could never get free from the first defender.

KMM wouldn't see the field at another Power 5 school but is our ALL TIME LEADING RECEIVER. Pathetic.

Congrats to KMM.

While all of these things may be true, the guy just broke the Iowa record for career receptions. Yet, people on here are coming out to criticize him instead of congratulating him. How petty. Just because you have a keyboard and an Internet connection doesn't mean you have to say something, whether it is true or not. I think criticizing him in this venue is rather petty.

I get that people are annoyed at the state of the program. Criticizing KMM right here and right now, after he just broke this record, is probably as classless as booing a senior defensive back when he is introduced on Senior Day.

Kmart was never supposed to be the next big thing. I know I felt his game against Pittsburgh made me think he could be really good. I never thought he could be Iowa's best WR of all time. You're right to say that it doesn't speak too well on our program that he has the most receptions of all time. That said, he worked his *** off, played hurt, did punt returns pretty darn well, and was a solid guy from all accounts.

He won't have the record for too long, but I'm happy he's got it. Call me crazy.

Congrats to him. Number 1 in catches is important. Obviously, he's a character guy, a good guy and a team leader. When I think of him, that comes to mind much quicker than his record. The record is quantifiable though, similar to a person leading a team in tackles. But it doesn't necessarily translate into being the best defensive player on the field.

My thoughts regarding his skills are based only by what I've seen. I don't think I said anything that was jaw dropping or inappropriate. His record was system based. In my opinion, he's not even in the top 20 best receivers of all-time at Iowa since 1981, the time I began to follow them.

I hate to say this, but I feel similarly about Brandon Scherf winning the Outland Trophy and all the hype that comes with him. If I'm out of line, I apologize. I hope I'm wrong. The youtube video and his play thru his junior year had to have played the biggest part in his accolades. I drank the Kool Aid. I know it fed my impression that he would be a man among boys this year. Didn't turn out that way. For all the hype, he struggled giving up sacks, getting beat just like all the other lineman, and in one instance getting pancaked on his butt on bull rush. Yikes

While I'm at it, I would not be surprised if he had the 2 worst punters in college football. They wouldn't be in the top 5 in the Iowa Conference.
