Kirk was out-coached by Harbaugh

I would say Don Brown outcoached BF. Not sure either head coach had much to do with the outcome:)

Bingo, hwk23. The Brown vs. BF matchup decided the game. It was a total mismatch between these two coaches - all in favor of Brown.

That seems to be the consensus in the various threads.

Let that sink in for a moment.

It's likely correct that KF was out coached in the Michigan game and I stated the game itself set football back about 50 years. But I would not trade KF for about any coach at this point.

Iowa is one of the most consistent programs in the country. I can only speak for me, but I will take that.

I work in the world of investments. Iowa is like a value stock. When the market is way up, the stock has a nice return. When the market is way down, the stock has a smaller decline. Over a 20 year period the stock will have had a more consistent performance vs. the volatility of other stocks meaning much less worry.

In short, you know your going to get a good consistent return over the long haul. That works great for my personal portfolio, so I'm happy with it now although I may complain about it every now and then.

Yep about an average program is what Iowa is. Take away the 4 cupcakes in the non con schedule, then go .500 in the weak west division, and you have Iowa football. Once in a while jump up and beat a team you shouldn't beat. Often lose to teams you should beat.

Kirk has never been a good 'game coach'...usually lose that fight. Basically run the same offense and defense with almost NO variation, regardless of talent, or opponent. HOWEVER, there is no better coach at DEVELOPING 'no-name', lightly recruited kids, into not only great men, but solid players, many going pro!
Kirk favors the Mike Mc Carthy game plan, run the same plays over and over which are easily detected by a swarming defense...the key...don't alter the game plan.

4 non con games? Do you even watch or follow Iowa football?

Over the last 5 years Iowa is #15 in total wins of all P5 teams. Over the last 10 years (which includes the pretty down years) Iowa is tied for #20 most wins of all P5 teams. Over KF entire tenure including the rebuilding he had to so with the shit team Fry left him Iowa is tied for #24 most wins of all P5 teams.

It is funny, you and Da Haters will crawl back in your hole and not be seen until we lose if we beat Penn St. If we lose to Penn St., you will squak even louder. It is like you and Da Haters only enjoy the Iowa losses.

Jim Harbaugh has a .702 career winning percentage. He's won at least 10 games in half of his seasons as a college coach. He totally rebuilt a dying Stanford program, and reestablished a fading Michigan as a serious threat. Hell, he took Alex Smith (thought to be a total bust) and the 49ers (who hadn't made the playoffs since 2002) to 3 consecutive NFC championship games, and a Super Bowl, and they imploded without him.

The guy can coach, and has proven it time and again, late season-fades not withstanding.

I know it's popular to shit on Jim Harbaugh recently but let's not let facts get in the way of a good narrative.

Harbaugh is a very good coach. A bit of a clown who needs to focus of fixing his QB situation. But his overall resume is extremely impressive. If Michigan is dumb enough to let him go, he'll have another job lined up in days.

90% of your posts are factually inaccurate. We only play 3 non conference games. You can't go ".500" in the B1G because we play 9 B1G games ... mathematically not possible to go .500. You are a below average poster.

He's insisted that Stanley is a fifth year senior (and last year a fourth year junior) for two years.

100% of his posts, no matter what the thread title, are about the head coach, the OC, the QB, the (lack of) skill position players, or the schedule.

In the world of the bag carrier its a miracle we don't go 0-12 EVERY year.

All marinated in pessimism. I can hear him telling the golf pro he is working for, "you can't break 80". ;)

And if I hear the narrative that the B1G West is the red headed stepchild of the conference one more time, I'm going to puke.

Since 2015 in regular season head to head, the West is 37-43 against the East, and will be 38-43 when Bucky finishes off Sparty. An Iowa win tonight can make it 39-43.

That's hardly getting dominated. The East has had their way in the CCG and that's not included in the above numbers but the West has had an awesome run in bowls the last couple of years and that evens things back up a bit. Raise your hand if you thought the records were even as close as they are.

What do you expect from a clown poster. They are indeed idiots!
