Kirk Ferentz should receive a raise and be named coach of the year..

OK, no he shouldn't. But this is the equivalent overreaction from KF admirers to how the drama-queen haters sound on the other side. You get how foolish you sound every time something goes bad?

And where are those who wanted KF and/or his staff fired now?

Most people want to see changes in scheme. I for one am a bit tired of the same ****** every weekend.

For once we got lucky and came out with the win. But how many of us were thinking we had just blown another game???

This is what happens when you play this style of football. We let all teams hang in.

To the clutchbutt who started this thread: Think back to last year, the team he had, the games he lost, the game situations that were blown; the crap that has gone on in games over the last year or so is inexcusable, and no win can erase it; crawl back into your bottle. This was a good win today, but it wasn't over a great team no matter how high they were ranked. Go somewhere and learn the game.

Ferentz is a good but not great coach, who probably gets paid too much, with a strange resume (aka he beats good teams he shouldn't a lot and loses to bad teams he shouldn't a lot too).

Not every coach can pretty much guarantee their team a bowl game every year (even though bowl games aren't the pinnacle of success they used to be it's still impressive to get there every year.

We were lucky to escape with our lives, and that we didn't get a pass interference call on the last play. Yes, I'm still ready for a coaching change. We still lost last week to Minn.

Im all for Iowa wasting more money on ferentz, I think his wife needs some more moo moos.

Yes, let's call out any and all fans who were critical of the coaching staff last week. Some bad coaching decisions WERE MADE against Minnesota. Some good coaching decisions were made today against Michigan ... It is what it is ... Let it rest and how about we simply enjoy the win without trying to call people out?

We got somewhat lucky today. Michigan probably wins 3 or 4 of 5 against us in Kinnick.

But last week against Minnesota the Gophers got Super lucky. We beat them 9 of 10 in Minneapolis. So luck/unlucky can go both ways.

Bumpers ClowndenBerg is back! What is your prediction against MSU? How was Lames today?

What a bunch of crybabies on this thread! If today's win wasn't big enough to make you happy or to quit pouting about last week's loss, then go root for Wisconsin. At least they can manage a few blowouts for you.
