Kirk Cousins...Who Knew?

Great interview. He talked a lot about following the Hawks in 2002. He has seen a lot of games at Kinnick. His grandad played at Iowa, was a doctor in Fort Dodge, and still has tickets on the 50 yard line. MSU at Iowa will be an interesting game for Cousins.

That was a fun interview! I'm a big fan of Cousins. That guy is a heck of a QB! I thought that we did recruit him but I don't think we went after him real hard. I may be remembering wrong. The guy presents himself very well. He isn't getting in trouble and is a great ambassador for his team. I certainly wish the guy well when we aren't playing him. Now I like him even more!
 
he was in the same class as McNutt...Cousins would have gotten an offer if McNutt had gon elsewhere I think

Great interview if you are an Iowa fan. Never knew about how much he followed Iowa especially hearing about how he watched the Hail Holloway play and ran around celebrating in his Iowa jersey. Also great to see his family supporting him at MSU even though big Iowa fans.
 
Wow. What a great interview. Good kid. Can you imagine the contrast if they put Terrelle Pryor next to Cousins and Stanzi?

Cousins and Stanzi are both great interviews.
 
I believe Iowa offered Kirk a walk-on and MSU obviously offered a ride. Had Iowa have offered a scholarship, he would be a Hawk. At least that is what I recall from an article I read last year about Kirk and his granddad.

Not a bad trade there either way. Either you get arguably the best QB in the Big Ten, or you get the guy who could be the most dynamic WR to go through Iowa in a LONG time.
 
He really seems like a decent down-to-earth guy. I just turned into a Kirk Cousins fan, except for one week, of course. Iowa should have some fans wear

He's not the down-to-earth type or as humble representative for your school as Stanzi and Cousins. No big deal, I just think it would be quite a contrast.

And no, I do not know Pryor, only what I've read before, which could all be nonsense.:)

Me too. I will be cheering on Kirk Cousins in every game but the Iowa game.

I don't understand how people come up with things like this with nothing to back them up.

Can you even give an example of why he isn't humble or a good Representative compared to Stanzi or Cousins?

Seems a little harsh...

He certainly didn't come off as the smartest guy in the world. I also didn't care for his little temper tantrum when Tressel pulled a shocker and decided to punt on 4th down in the 4th quarter of the Iowa-OSU game. As if Pryor had any reason to expect otherwise?

Not to continue to stray from the original post. It's very cool that Cousins grew up a Hawk.

As far as Prior, here's a clip. I certainly don't want Hawkeyes to represent the school and state by saying that "Everyone does..kill people, murder people." He probably didn't mean to say that, but I'd prefer that Hawkeyes don't wear a tribute to someone like Micheal Vick during the game. If they want to make a statement an ANF sticker is sufficent.

That was the exact interview I was thinking of. If I remember correctly, Tressel has kept him out of interviews ever since (though I think Pyror did go to the BT Media Days this year).
