Kirk/Brian in game play calling

Nothing about Iowa's offense makes sense. Middle Tenn State was the only game they were really firing on all cylinders, and consider the opponent.

Otherwise the first Q against MN looked good, and that's been it for big10 play

Hmmmm, evidence seems to indicate that the idea of Kirk actively "taking the air out of the ball" and for example, intentionally calling running play, after running play into a 9 man front isn't accurate. Perhaps Brian is not the "puppet" he is made out to be. Watching Iowa, it just seems the offense is so "muzzled" much of the time. Perhaps it is Brian with a dose of "don't take chances and screw it up" Kirk, hovering about.

It's the only offense he truly knows. When he was on the Patriots staff, Bill B isn't afraid to adapt to their personnel.

Clearly that didn't stick with Brian

I've read a couple different places that the radio equipment vendors say NFL and NCAA teams pay more attention to and spend more money on the latest encryption tech than most police and emergency services.
Correct. It all changed during the 2000 Grammy awards broadcast. Some guy w/ a van full of radio tuners pulled up in the Staples Center parking lot. The tuners were connected to a multi-track tape recorder. This guy recorded the signals from wireless mics on stage w/ the performers, security walkie-talkies, you name it, including the production intercom system, which IIRC, was a Telex. Rosie O'Donnell was going long near the end of the show and the production manager needed to break for a commercial and he said into the intercom "Somebody get that fat cow off of the stage". The tape made the rounds and it didn't go over good w/ the Recording Academy. To keep the gig, the production company went to the Telex and asked "how do we keep something like this from happening a again? They came up w/ a digital system that used encryption and brought it to market. The NFL mandated that after reports of visiting team having their intercoms intercepted. The encryption was good enough that Bosch's security products division purchased Telex just to get it after their first generation keyless system for automobiles was hacked - remember the issues Audi had when people on the street were able to turn off the keyless ignition systems of Audis while they were drving past?
