Kinnick Stadium is dead. Ferentz killed it.

Remember when Iowa would do Zombienation and the stadium would get rocking? Remember when Iowa won 22 home games in a row? Remember when the stadium was nationally known as a Top 5 "Toughest Places to Play" stadium?

I'm just reminiscing here, but it's sad to see the Iowa Football Program for this "Kirk Ferentz Era" dying. And there's not a darn thing we can do about it. Our legacy is dwindling back to the end of the Hayden Fry Era. This tremendous Hawkeye Pride and HawkeyeNation is torn, tired, fed up and broken.

I miss winning, I miss smack talking with confidence, I miss the Hawkeye Pride we all used to carry loud and proud.

I can't wait for it to return, for Iowa to triumph, for for HawkeyeNation to be fighters.

Well said. The swagger is gone. Some wonderful memories during my 10 years with season tickets (stopped getting them last year). It's disheartening to see what the program has become. Our fans deserve more.

I actually thought the crowd was pretty loud the last 2 games.

Granted I watched from home and so I'm just going from the sound of the tv and it didn't turn I to wins so who cares.... But I guess I just wanted to point it out.

Being there the last two games there was more electricity than i have experienced since 2010 but ineptness from KF stole the show in both. I do not think you will see much life going forward and the empty seats will be double without opposing fan bases to pick up some of them.

Kinnick stadium died after the renovations in 2005 when they moved the student section. It hasn't been the same since. There have been instances of great atmospheres since, I.e. Wisconsin 2 games back, but overall kinnick s not nearly as intimidating after they tucked the students into the corner. So I agree due to kirks success they were able to renovate kinnick which caused the seating change and killed kinnick. Damn you Kirk!

For as bad as the first 10 games were, we had a chance to win the Big Ten West, with both games at home.
The atmosphere against Wisconsin was superb, but after the game, it was BAU.

Nebraska got loud when we were up 24-7, and, prior to that, the Lowdermilk INT.
There was nothing to play for in the Nebraska game, but we had our loud moments.

Next year, will be brutal, and will be like Kinnick, pre-Hayden.
The opponents and more Checkdown Charlie.
Good news is that the stretch play to the FB will be gone.
Even, Matt Millen commented on that multiple times that that play should never be an option.
