KGYM Radio said Cordell Pemsl commits

I'll wait until he actually signs to excited about this. That's still 2 years from now. Plenty of time for vultures to swoop in and sway him.

You're correct; though the silver lining is that this kid apparently is an actual Iowa Hawkeye diehard fan, as well. I get the sense it's a dream come true for the kid. Hopefully, he signs.

#1. What's his deal?
#2. Why would he commit this early? What does he get out of not just waiting?
#3. He's expected to be Top 150?

I would be absolutely stunned if he decommits. Kid grew up rooting for the Hawks and wanting to play at Carver. This hay's in the barn.

Watched some of his videos. This kid looks like he could play forward at iowa next year with his mass at 6'7". He has a decent outside shot. Pretty athletic. I saw that he is projected to be 6'10-6'11". Looked pretty comfortable dribbling the length of the floor for a dunk. Very excited to see this kid grow into his game.

He said on twitter that he chose iowa for his (late) grandma. She was a huge iowa fan, and he grew up a diehard hawk.

The big deal for him committing early is he really wants to go to Iowa, and if an injury or an illness occurs Iowa will stick by him. I'm sure its comforting for his mother to know he is able to go to Iowa, and they will take care of him.

Didn't Gatens and Horner commit when they were sophomores? or even earlier?

I see a winner in this kid.
