I wonder if he now regrets leaving early? He would have been the #1 DE in the BIG this fall and most likely been a first rounder next year. Have heard he had pretty bad showing at he NFL Combine.

It really is bizarre to me that you guys think the calculus is different between a probable first versus second round pick as a Junior. 9/10 times a guy is going if he’s likely to go in the top two rounds. It’s a lot riskier to stick around and get injured than chase the first round when you’re basically a lock for the top two.

Rodgers is a pill, and he is in a pretty evident decline. I think the powers that be are tiring of his act. Now he knows, if he didn't already.

Because the slide from middle second round to middle third round is pretty easy. So if you are told middle second, well that's not to bad, but what if you are told middle of the second at the latest and slide to middle of the third? Because I think everyone would agree that if AJ would have slid to middle third he would have been better served by coming back.

Hate to say it but even if AJ stayed for another season who's to say there's going to be one to play and get that development?

AJ's value is his relentless pursuit and dedication getting to the opposing QB, that plus his arm length and quick responses led to tackles and fumbles, in addition to utilizing the fear factor he inspired, creating panic throughout the opposing offensive line and backfield.

Perhaps that aspect was overlooked when Sprint Speed apparently has such enormous value.

He is a definite Steal. His attitude was infectious, which is something not measured during the trials.
