KF apologists

I have been one of the apologists.

There is no momentum in this program. No life. No fire. After 16 years, Ferentz must go. NOW

I'm tired of the same ol' . . . not sure who we would hire right about now, though. OU was embarrassed as well and Stoops is certainly not going to find better talent for his football team coming to Iowa. What a mess.

I think that there's momentum in the program, it's just heading in the wrong direction.

If coach Ferentz sees out his contract it could be a decade (or more if the next hire doesn't work out) before Iowa football approaches relevancy again.

Apologist? Silly... there's nothing to apologize for. Kirk is a big boy and can speak for himself. No need for anyone here to apologize for him.

Am I a fan? Of course. You could do a whole lot worse than send your son to play for Kirk Ferentz for four years.

Am I always happy with the results on the field? Of course not. But a certain mindless drone element on the forum thinks that if you don't melt down emotionally and psychologically whenever Ferentz and the staff do somethong they disagree with then we must be too stupid to know what's up. That, of course, is silly and immature... which seems to be the description for most of the inhabitants of this forum.

So... you guys continue to whine for the next two months. Us "apologists" have real lives and interesting things to do. We feel sad for you that this is all you have... I hope you survive.

You're the biggest apologist around here.

Agreed. I think we are past the "be careful what you wish for" BS.

Ok -- I've thought up the BS positive spin for Stoops -- goes like this:

Bob Stoops' recent stumbles at OU makes everyone there uneasy just like Iowa fans with Ferentz. However, Barta sees a Stoops-on-the-cheap sale and makes a bid. Stoops is invigorated by his return to his Alma Mater and Iowa players and fans are re-energized by simply having a style of play that includes moving the ball. We, as Iowa fans, enjoy several years of upper-mediocrity and a single B1G title, but it was enough to say it was worth it when it's over.

Oohkay, got blindoNgscooter chiming in with his 3 to 4 giant paragraphs rambling about whatever the hell..

Patiently waiting for the others and their 5 rambling paragraphs

Ive been pointing this out for a few years, no way in the world any new hire is gona be worse than this.

The very weak schedule has masked how poor we've been for the last four years. UT is not even good. Had we had to play MSU or OSU it would have been much worse than this.

the big ten is rebounding and we are going to end up as the new Purdue if we don't do something soon.

Preferably get Brett Bielema.
