As bad a game as the coaching staff had last week and it was bad. They would just that good this week!!

1. Defense played with emotion and urgency something we have not seen. Tackeling was best of the season had several big hits and quality tackels something that has been missing.

2. Offense was solid again Ricky and company had another solid game for sure.

3. Coaching staff it was great seeing us go for it toward end of half instead of sitting on ball and it worked 30-0 is a back breaker. We used time outs as well!!!

So let's give KF and staff credit team was ready and I had said this was biggest game of KF era, and KF and staff did a great job of playing as the favorite. If Hawks play that well rest of the way we will be going to the BCS again.

In 2nd half we quick snapped a qb sneek instead of waiting for review did not get it off, but shows we learned.

Then ran a reverse pass and a little air under it and it was a td for DJK so glad too see Iowa stay aggersive.

So impressed with Ferentz this week. First of all he's humble enough to fess up to his mistake and then bold enough to show he wasn't just whistling platitudes when saying they had to do a better job as coaches and get out of the players way. I was a little worried when he didn't yank Stanzi and AROB though --- but I think he really did have the spectre of the Michigan game lingering in his mind and so was reluctant to pull them as a consequence.

Iowa is very fortunate to have Ferentz. I don't think there's any other coach I'd rather see helm Iowa fooball. The guy is the embodiment of a class dude.

Would agree and another great thing this week was Iowa's rank in graduation rate impressive for KF and staff and players!!!

Agree completely with the OP. The timeouts at the end of the 1st half and hustling to the line to try and get a play off after a close call went our way were clear signs of the coaching staff learning from last week's mistakes.

It also cannot be understated at how tremendous this staff does after a tough loss. We almost always come back out the following week and play like a different team.
