Wisconsin Rush Offense vs. Iowa Rush Defense:
This is as close to a wash as their is in this game, but the edge goes to Wisconsin here. They have the best combination of O-Line and running back that we will likely face all year. We also have the best D-LIne they'll face all year. This is very close, but I'm not picking any ties. Advantage Wisconsin.
Wisconsin Pass Offense vs, Iowa Pass Defense:
Tolzein can hurt you, but if you make him beat you, he'll hurt himself worse. Our pass rush is disruptive if not always statistically flashy. Our secondary is good and opportunistic and they're receivers aren't DJK or McNutt. Advantage Iowa.
Iowa Rush Offense vs. Wisconsin Rush Defense:
A Rob is effective but Wisconsin is going to stack the box in an effort to make Iowa one dimensional. This will prove to be a mistake. Advantage Wisconsin.
Iowa Pass Offense vs. Wisconsin Pass Defense.
Where Tolzein can hurt you, Stanzi can kill you, and this season he hasn't hurt himself yet. DJK and McNutt are both playing at a high level and Reisner is another great Iowa TE story. This is the biggest advantage in the agme. Advantage Iowa.
What it all means:
Wisconsin can't come from behind. They are a ball control running offense, and if they are forced to become a pass happy team to come back, that is where Tolzein gets into trouble.
Iowa needs to get up to a quick lead and not try to come from behind which lets Wisconsin continue to play their game. Let your stars win the game for you on offense, lots of play action and TE plays as well as that great screen pass that we finally ran last week. Let your pass open the run where Robinson can be effective enough to open the pass right back up. We can score quicker than they can, and we need to use that to our advantage.
On defense, White scares me more than Clay, because he can be a home run threat. But he isn't more of a home run threat than Denard Robinson is, and Clay is gonna hit up Panchero's before the game.
