Yes. I don't like it, but I assume their thinking is, if they lose, they will be getting the ball first. So, you can start with the ball every week, and kick the second half every week. I guess I can see the logic of wanting the consistency, but there's a reason that when other teams win, they defer. Strange to give that advantage, especially for a generally slow-starting offensive team.

A lot of key dudes not playing, combined with shitty weather…this is the perfect recipe for an Iowa win.
The biggest thing would if their RB really is out, he's 6'0", 236 lbs. Without traction tackling, he'd be a huge weapon. The injury report doesn't say he's out, but the other 3 are.
