Key differences

I also like that he immediately acknowledged that we have to keep upgrading our TALENT. I'm thinking he does NOT see our roster now as the status quo, though I don't believe he's going to be in any hurry to run anyone off.

He clearly also recognized the need for depth. That can only happen w/ retention.

Agreed. He mentioned that he's already watched them play. He knows what he's getting himself into and he knows the talent level he's got to work with now and what he needs.

In the clips I've seen of Fran --- he also shows every sign of having a pulse, and then some, when coaching from the bench. Also, the wife.

I liked, in a morbid kind of way, the B10 Network guy's summation of Iowa's offense under Lickliter - paraphrasing here "...it could put a glass eye to sleep".

All indications are that's not going to be how a McCaffery offense rolls.

If you haven't done so already I would encourage everyone to go to YouTube and check out some vieos on Fran at Siena. He's not a hpyeractive lunatic, but he does show passion on the bench, and not by burying his head in his hands. I think he's going to be a big crowd favorite.

If we have some success, I wouldn't mind seeing some of the big Fran head signs at CHA. Can't whip those out too soon though.
