I disagree. No way Lipscomb and Oral Roberts are better than us(on a neutral floor of course;)).
 
Impossible to use these preseason predictions. I think they will be much more accurate once you get through at least 5 games.
 
Look at the scores he predicts...we don't score over 70 once? I don't think this takes into account our coaching change.

I was thinking the same thing.. Even 5 games may not be enough. These numbers mean zip this time of year. They will fluctuate wildly once some games start being played.
 
Yep. Seems like he must be going by stats of current players from last year. Different year, completely different beast.
 
I used Cutepdf software to screen print his rankings. I think this would be a cool little experiment to see if pre-season rankings really mean anything. I personally don't think they mean much other than historical performance for predicting future outcomes.
 
yes, kenpom uses past data as predictors

but, people are sorely mistaken if they think we will be able to dictate the tempo of a game just because we switched to a different system.

But the numbers are off. I'd put them at around 9, maybe 10, non-conference wins and 5 or 6 Big Ten wins. Roughly 15 wins and close to .500 overall.
