Its not clear to me if Tony Racioppi is the same QB guru that worked with Stanley and Petras that is getting all the praise, but the weird thing I wonder about, did Stanley or Petras get any better as QBs after their workouts? If they did then I guess Racioppi deserves all that praise, but in the end, if they did not get better, than whatever he is teaching is not sticking in the long run. But maybe that is good argument he should be the full-time QB coach. Then he can reinforce his teachings every week.

No, it was Paddy's QB coach who got mad during the Nebby game when Paddy got benched even though Alex was really not good in that game.

You are touting the wrong variable! The reason was not KOK's departure, it was Greg Davis's hiring. I posted on this board when Davis was hired that I had buddies who were Texas fans texting me asking what the hell we were doing, because that guy was an assclown. They were right.

I think Brian has shown that a below average, but reasonably competent, OC can help Iowa win 10 games, but a dumbass OC pulled off the scrapheap cannot. Dumbest move in the KF era, not even close.

This would have to be such a unicorn of an opportunity.

He is not going to take an OC job at another P5 school as that is a lateral move. And, the notion that anyone else would want him is highly unlikely unless they were like a Vanderbilt or other cellar dweller.

He seems unlikely to want to go back to the NFL to be a position coach. That would be a lateral move at best.

He sure as shit aint getting an OC job in the NFL.

Would he take a head coaching gig at a G5 or UNI type school? Probably, but that train has come and gone.

So, while I am sure he would consider another offer if it were interesting and moved his career forward, I am struggling to see him being offered a job that is better (and safer) than the OC job at Iowa working for his Dad.

If I were him, I would spend all Summer in NFL camps taking notes from real OCs, figure out a way to make this offense serviceable, so I look attractive for other gigs or to take over for Dad when he hangs them up.
