Keeping track of Iowa opponents

HAHAHA.....UNC was 143-18 over 9 years with Roy Williams as head coach at home. Not a chance in hell that Arkansas goes into Chapel Hill with that garbage team and beats them.

Lets revisit this after the season and see who is firmly in the NCAA tourney (UNC) and who is on the bubble (Arkansas).

UNC is very clearly on a downward trajectory after their last National Championship run. Their last couple years especially they have not been what you would think a traditional UNC team is. Their inability to hit a jump shot the other night was NOT a fluke. They have struggled in that department for a few seasons now. Couple that with no dominant inside presence, and they are a slightly above average team filled with blue chip recruits.

I think both ark and UNC are overrated. UNC is 6-3 vs unranked opponents at home over their last 9. They aren't bad and they will certainly be in the tourney but you could probably say the same thing about ark. One bad game doesn't discredit a team... Heck ISU looked worse against an NIT bound WVU team last year. Sometimes teams just run into a buzz saw. Pressing ISU is probably the worst way to defend them as well.

Don't forget, Saturday is Ugly Sweater Day at Carver.

Saturday is also ugly opposition day at Carver. Was hoping they'd come in to our house with atleast 1 win. Smells like a trap game with our showdown with Alcorn State looming in the distance.

True, and it isn't like I have seen Arkansas play any other games. They just looked really, really bad to me. UNC has wins over UCLA and Florida, so you know that while they did lose to Butler and Iowa, they have beaten quality opponents already.

I watched them play smu. They are okay and a team like ISU that will naturally be better at home. I think they aren't a top 25 team but they are probably a 10 seed or so in the tourney.

Thanks for getting the thread back on track. Wisconsin shouldn't have much trouble with Marquette. Interested to see NW @ Butler. Likely a blowout but, we'll see if NW is improving.

I guess if we're "cheering" for our future/past opponents, remember to give an extra cheer for NW, OSU, Minn, Neb, and Wisc, since we play them twice. NW is killing us right now.

Also, our next two games (along with Longwood) are against teams that will likely be in the 300's in RPI at the end of the year. Need less of this and more NDSU's and Pepperdines (100's). Hopefully it doesn't matter.
